LT, special edition, black

Good times are here for both the Chevrolet Equinox and the Chevrolet Traversecrossover SUVs, as the bow-tie brand is introducing a trio of special-edition variants: the 2017 Equinox Midnight Edition and Sport Edition and the 2017 Traverse Graphite Edition. What makes them so special? Read on.
Like a black-and-white cookie, the Equinox Midnight Edition and Sport Edition serve as the proverbial chocolate and vanilla frosting poured over the $27,645 Equinox LT sponge-cake base. Both start at $30,540 and are sweetened with a black grille, black bow-tie badges, black 18-inch wheels, black leather seats with memory settings, and black mirror caps and roof-rack crossbars. The Midnight Edition is slathered in—you guessed it—black paint, while the Sport Edition’s body is coated in white.

Unlike the two Equinox special-edition models, the Traverse Graphite Edition is available in four exterior colors: red, black, gray, and white. Starting life as a 2LT model, the $39,890 Graphite Edition comes with 20-inch gray wheels, black bow-tie badges, step bars, a navigation system, a tow package, and the top-of-the-line Traverse Premier’s dual-exhaust system that adds seven ponies to the large crossover’s 3.6-liter V-6 engine, resulting in a net output of 288 horsepower.
